8th CT Coronary Angiography Teaching Course & 3rd Cardiac MR ( Level 1) Course 2-3rd Sept, 2011

This is an annual Cardiac CT Teaching Course , previously held in Singapore and Sydney. The planned location is one of the nicer beaches in Phuket ,Thailand.The program will help attendees fulfil some of the requirements for Society of Cardiovascular CT (SCCT) Level 2 certification. This course has been endorsed by SCCT as well as the Asian Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (ASCI).
This teaching course is designed to enhance clinical practice skills by providing practical training in performing and reading coronary CTA exmainations including rest and stress perfusion scans . The course lectures will cover the more practical and technical aspects of cardiac CT. Mentored case review sessions will allow course attendees to view teaching cases .There will also be an optional "hands-on " workshop where registranst will eb able to read and manipulate teaching cases on wrokstations supplied by various vendors.
The cardiac MR course is planned to provide basic training in performing and reading cardiac MR examinations. Course lectures will cover CMR scanning protocols for common cardiac conditions. Mentored case review sessions where teaching faculty will show cases on workstations covering aspects of viability, perfusion and cardiomyopathy imaging. This is equivalent to some of the requirements for a basic SCMR Level 1 course to provide the attendee with working knowledge of CMR methods.
There will also be a Satellite Symposium : " UPDATE ON CT PERFUSION IMAGING" covering the practical current clinical use of CT Neuroperfusion and CT body Perfusion
